SAFe for Teams
SAFe for Teams helps team members develop a shared understanding of SAFe principles and practices and equips them with the skills necessary to work collaboratively, deliver value, and continuously improve within a SAFe environment.
SAFe for Teams is a training and certification program offered by Scaled Agile, Inc. It is designed to provide teams with the knowledge and skills to effectively collaborate and execute in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment. SAFe for Teams focuses on enabling Agile Release Train (ART) teams to deliver value consistently and efficiently within a larger enterprise context.
Here are the key aspects of SAFe for Teams:
1. Agile Principles and Values: The training program emphasizes the Agile principles and values that underpin SAFe. Participants learn about the Agile Manifesto, Agile mindset, and the importance of customer-centricity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
2. Team Roles and Responsibilities: The course covers the various roles within an ART team, including the Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Development Team. Participants gain a clear understanding of the responsibilities and interactions of each role, as well as how they collectively contribute to the success of the team and the ART.
3. Agile Team Practices: SAFe for Teams provides guidance on Agile team practices, such as iterative and incremental development, backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Participants learn how to apply these practices effectively within the SAFe context.
4. Program Increment (PI) Planning: The training program covers the PI Planning event, which is a crucial aspect of SAFe. Participants learn how to collaborate with other teams in the ART to align their work, identify dependencies, and plan for the upcoming Program Increment.
5. ART Execution: The course focuses on executing within the Agile Release Train. Participants learn how to work collaboratively, deliver value incrementally, and address dependencies and impediments. They gain insights into the importance of cross-functional collaboration and the use of Agile and Lean practices to achieve high-quality, predictable outcomes.
6. Agile Technical Practices: SAFe for Teams also emphasizes the importance of technical excellence and Agile engineering practices. Participants learn about practices such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment to ensure the delivery of high-quality, releasable increments.
